Grade One students work on Thoughtful Painting:”
- Paint slowly.
- Use light colors first
- Hold your brush the direction the line goes
- Paint a fence around the area you want to paint
- Keep your brush, water and hands clean
- Think before you paint!
The students drew their self-portrait by looking into a mirror. We talked about facial features and where they are located in relation to each other. They used watercolor inks to paint their face inside of a patterned frame.
